Chance, The Gardener & The Idea

I'm often asked why I chose the name "Chance." As you may have read, the original inspiration came from Peter Sellers' endearing, enigmatic character in the film "Being There." A journalist in the movie says of him, "He has a peculiar brand of optimism." This led me to the name, but there's more to it. Chance, this venture, is really an idea. It's about being open to possibilities. To going out into the world and taking note of the unexpected, appreciating random encounters, and people and experiences that make our lives richer. I hope you discover things here to tempt and inspire.
