"Elvis at 21" at The NPG
I was recently re-introduced to The National Portrait Gallery by a Friend of Chance. While exploring their website, I realized that the institution takes a much more multi-dimensional approach to portraiture than I thought. The current exhibition "Elvis at 21," which features photographs by Alfred Wertheimer, caught my eye. The images capture a man who seems both innocent and entirely confident as his career takes off like a rocket, and the discovery sent me down an Elvis rabbit hole as I revisited the legend's music.
