Sachiko Kanenobu
It's somewhat unfortunate that Sachiko Kanenobu will forever be known as "the Japanese Joni Mitchell" since she has a lilting, folk sound all her own. Track down a copy of her 1972 release "Misora" (re-released in the mid-90s) and float away on songs like "The Heat Haze," "Moody Sky," and "Look Up, The Sky is Beautiful," featured here.
